Our branch offers a variety of recital opportunities for students of ARMTA Calgary members. And the students with the top exam marks are awarded cash scholarship prizes. But what about the remaining students who don’t participate in recitals or exams? These are, of course, the ones who make up the majority of our studios. The student competitions were developed in 2022 for students to have fun and win cash prizes by getting creative and thinking about their pieces in a new manner.

Dual Excellence Teenage Superstar Award

We promoted our first two challenges in 2022: first a Poster Competition, followed by a Video Competition. Almost 60 students pulled out their crayons, computers and video cameras and submitted their captivating work to our eager committee and judges. Between two different age categories in both competitions, we wrote cheques to over 20 winners! We are always thinking up new ideas for future competitions and there is room on our panel for more lively ideas, committee members and judges.
