Frances completed her Associate and Licentiate diplomas in Speech Arts and Drama from the Mount Royal Conservatory in 1997. She was then employed by Mount Royal Conservatory as a Speech Arts and Drama instructor, where she taught private lessons, group speech arts, and theoretical studies on and off from 1997 to 2016. In 2023, The Royal Conservatory of Music acknowledged her for 26 years of teaching the RCM Certificate Program. Frances currently teaches private lessons, adjudicates at local drama & poetry events, is a voice coach for the Canadian Sport Institute Calgary, and is an instructor at the Company of Rogues Actors’ Studio. 

Gloria Chu is a dedicated pedagogue, adjudicator, examiner, speaker, composer, and performer.  She holds two master’s degrees: MA in Piano (Ottawa) and MA in Strings (Chichester). She is currently studying her third masters in Voice Pedagogy.  She has been recognized by Steinway & Sons with a Top Teacher Award and is the recipient of the Royal Conservatory of Music Teacher of Distinction Award for her leadership as a music educator. Many of her students have received scholarships and awards including 20 RCM Gold Medalists for the highest mark in the region. Her innovative teaching methods motivate students to develop confidence in expressing their unique voice in both music and life.
