Enhancing the quality of life by promoting the love of music through scholarships for students and professional development for teachers.
The Endowment Society of the Calgary Registered Music Teachers is a subsidiary of, and entirely operated by the Calgary Branch, Alberta Registered Music Teachers Association (ARMTA).
ARMTA is a community of music teachers whose qualifications meet high professional standards in the field of private music instruction. The organization began in 1932 as a group of music teachers who were interested in enhancing the quality of life by promoting the love and knowledge of music through teaching and by providing cultural events of a high calibre in the community.
The mission of the society is to raise money to fund the scholarship programs of the Calgary Branch. Our scholarship programs support many deserving music students and the professional development of our teachers.
ARMTA Calgary has an enormous impact on our city. With an average of 30 students per member, the ARMTA, Calgary Branch teachers directly touch the lives and serve the needs of over 5,000 Calgarians.
